2024 Reproductive Freedom Forward Event Recap
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Reproductive Freedom Forward as we celebrated 55 years of Reproductive Freedom for All! For those who couldn’t attend, we hope to see you at next year’s celebration or at another Reproductive Freedom for All event.

At the event, we were fortunate to hear from several inspiring leaders:

- Phoebe Gates, Entrepreneur and Activist
- Representative Ruben Gallego, House of Representatives (D-AZ), Senate Candidate
Our President & CEO, Mini Timmaraju, reminded us that we are the majority in this fight for reproductive freedom. Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, voters across the nation have consistently mobilized for abortion rights, and our work continues to restore and protect those rights.
We also heard powerful stories illustrating the devastating harms of abortion bans. Mini shared the experiences of Amber Nicole Thurman and Candi Miller, both of whom tragically lost their lives due to Georgia’s dangerous abortion ban. These stories highlight the urgency of our work and the need for continued action.
Phoebe, honored with the Rising Reproductive Freedom Champion award, also reflected on the event in an article she wrote for Vogue titled, “Reproductive Rights Are Recognized as Foundational: Phoebe Gates Goes to Washington.” Phoebe discussed mobilizing her generation to protect abortion rights, emphasizing the critical role young voters will play in shaping the future. As she wrote, “We’re fighting for a future in which reproductive rights are recognized as foundational and inalienable.”
