Reproductive Freedom for All Launches New $200K Digital Ad in Michigan Slamming Mike Rogers’ Extreme Record
Washington, DC — Reproductive Freedom for All has launched a new $200,000 digital ad campaign in Michigan highlighting Mike Rogers’ extreme anti-abortion positions and promises to restrict reproductive freedom that are out of step with voters.
Michigan’s Senate race is one of the country’s most competitive races and will decide the path to a reproductive freedom majority in Congress. The ad is running through Election Day.
Yesterday, Reproductive Freedom for All condemned Haley Stevens’ endorsement of Mike Rogers—who, just days before, publicly reaffirmed his anti-abortion stance.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“Mike Rogers’ anti-abortion record was unacceptable to voters when he lost to Senator Elissa Slotkin in the last election, and remains unacceptable now. In this final stretch, we’re going to keep reminding Michiganders that Abdul El-Sayed will fight for them, while Rogers will be a rubber-stamp for Trump and his allies.”
Reproductive Freedom for All has endorsed Abdul El-Sayed to represent Michigan in the U.S. Senate as part of My Body. My Ballot., the organization’s historic $23.5 million midterm program. El-Sayed has made reproductive freedom, affordable health care, and economic security core pillars of his campaign. By contrast, Mike Rogers has a lengthy anti-abortion record that includes lobbying for a national abortion ban, backing legislation to revoke federal approval of mifepristone, and co-sponsoring “fetal personhood” legislation during his time in Congress. He also opposed Michigan’s 2022 ballot proposal enshrining reproductive rights in the state constitution.
