Reproductive Freedom for All Celebrates Nevadans Passing Question 6 for a Second Time to Enshrine Abortion Rights
Carson City, NV — Today, Nevada voters approved Question 6 for the second time, enshrining the right to abortion in the state constitution. Reproductive Freedom for All led the Nevadans for Reproductive Freedom coalition behind the historic initiative and made a six-figure investment to help secure its passage.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“Nevadans made clear that their rights should not be subject to the whims of the governor or any state politician. Reproductive Freedom for All is proud to have backed this effort that turns overwhelming support for abortion access into a constitutional protection. This is the latest proof point that when abortion is on the ballot, it wins.”
Reproductive Freedom for All Director of Nevada Campaigns Denise Lopez released the following statement:
“Today is a huge day for Nevadans and their reproductive freedom. We’ve spent every moment since the 2024 election knocking countless doors, talking to thousands of voters, and activating more than 57,000 members across the state to make sure that Question 6 passed once and for all. Nevadans across the aisle believe in abortion access and that personal health care decisions belong between them and their doctors. Today, they made sure that will be the reality for future generations.”
Reproductive Freedom for All Nevada led the 2026 effort through Nevadans for Reproductive Freedom, the coalition supporting Question 6. In September, Nevadans for Reproductive Freedom launched a $1 million digital ad campaign explaining the stakes of the amendment. Mini Timmaraju was on the ground campaigning for Question 6 in Las Vegas and mobilizing voters in the final stretch.
Question 6 establishes a fundamental right to abortion until fetal viability, or when abortion is necessary to protect the life or health of the pregnant patient. Its passage strengthens Nevada’s existing protections and prevents anti-abortion politicians from simply eliminating them.
