RE: Four Months of GOP Attacks, Four Months of Fighting Back
DATE: April 29, 2025

It’s been 100 days since Trump took office, marked by four months of attacks on reproductive freedom. The infographic below can be used as a resource to understand how Trump has slashed reproductive health care, restricted abortion access, and made our country less safe for pregnant people and families—and how Reproductive Freedom for All is fighting back:

From his day one anti-trans executive order that used language that could establish legal rights for fertilized eggs to gutting federal agencies that protect pregnant people and their families, Trump is making it clear that he and his administration want to push all reproductive health care out of reach, including abortion care. And the list doesn’t end there — here’s how the Trump administration has moved full speed ahead to roll back reproductive freedom:

Putting anti-abortion loyalists in charge: All of Trump’s cabinet picks have a lengthy record of attacking reproductive freedom, and they’ve wasted no time helping Trump implement Project 2025 page by page—from reinstating the Global Gag Rule to eliminating abortion travel reimbursements for service members to dropping a case to protect emergency abortion care.

Gutting access to reproductive health care: Between freezing Title X funding for reproductive health care providers, continuing the process of slashing Medicaid, and attempting to block people who use Medicaid from choosing Planned Parenthood as their trusted health care provider, Trump and his party are sending a clear message that the health and well-being of Americans is second to their own pursuit of power and control. Meanwhile, in coordination with Elon Musk, Trump forced cuts to the CDC’s teams that study maternal health and fertility treatment.

Gearing up to ban abortion nationwide: Trump and the GOP are already laying the foundation to misuse the Comstock Act, a 150-year-old law that bans the mailing of anything “indecent” or “lewd,” which could be used to block access to abortion pills and medical equipment used for abortion care across the country—even in states where abortion is protected.

Giving power to the radical religious right: Trump signed an executive order to give Christian nationalist groups a direct line to the Department of Justice — giving Christian nationalists and white supremacists unprecedented power. Empowering lawmakers to make discriminatory interpretations of Christianity the rule of law could have sweeping implications for access to abortion, contraception, and IVF.

Supporting anti-abortion candidates: After slashing programs that promote reproductive freedom globally in coordination with the Trump administration, Elon Musk poured millions of dollars into backing anti-abortion candidate Brad Schimel in the race for Wisconsin Supreme Court. With Judge Susan Crawford’s election, Wisconsin voters sent a powerful message that they reject the MAGA agenda to ban abortion and take away our freedoms.

Hiding his record on reproductive freedom: Trump falsely promised voters that he wouldn’t attack reproductive freedom. A hundred days into his presidency, he’s still hiding his anti-abortion record while paying lip service to reproductive freedom, as shown by his meaningless IVF order that did nothing to improve access to fertility treatments.

These aren’t isolated attacks—they’re a clear pattern of what’s to come. Reproductive Freedom for All won’t let these attacks on our fundamental rights and freedoms fly under the radar. From mobilizing our members nationwide to hosting town halls in key congressional districts to calling out the GOP’s attempts to slash Medicaid, we will continue to hold Trump and the GOP’s feet to the fire for their attacks on reproductive freedom.
