🔎 Closer Look: Reproductive Freedom for All and the 2025 Elections

Together we’ve protected a critical abortion access point for people living in the South, protected democracy, and strengthened our community of people who believe in reproductive freedom!

A 100% win rate is the end result of months of hard work—knocking on doors, hosting canvassing events, making calls, running ads, and building a power base in districts and states where it matters most.

IN VIRGINIA

Historic Wins! Voters Elect a Reproductive Freedom Trifecta in the House, Senate, and Governor Seats

Abigail Spanberger, a former Congresswoman and reproductive freedom champion, will be the state’s first female governor. She ran against Winsome Earle-Sears who openly supports extreme abortion bans.

Spanberger has vowed to protect reproductive freedom in Virginia, which also helps ensure abortion access for people living in surrounding states with extreme abortion bans.

And that’s not all—Virginians elected Ghazala Hashmi for Lt. Governor (the first Muslim woman and Indian American elected to hold the office in VA), Jay Jones for Attorney General, and cemented a reproductive freedom majority in the VA House of Delegates.

These victories lay the foundation for a 2026 constitutional amendment to permanently protect reproductive rights in Virginia!

IN PENNSYLVANIA

Fair-Minded Supreme Court Justices Retained

Pennsylvanians voted to retain Reproductive Freedom for All-endorsed State Supreme Court Justices Christine Donohue, Kevin Dougherty, and David Wecht.

These fair-minded justices have protected the rights and freedoms of Pennsylvanians—including reproductive health care and voting rights.

IN NEW JERSEY

Mikie Sherrill Wins For Governor

She’s the reproductive freedom champion with a strong Congressional voting record for abortion access. Her opponent was the complete opposite—and we defeated him at the ballot box.

This win demonstrates how abortion-centered campaigns mobilize moderates and Independents.

IN CALIFORNIA

Prop 50 Passes

Californians voted to redraw the Congressional map to offset Trump and Republicans’ shameless power grab.

This ballot measure was crucial to holding Trump in check and fighting back against anti-abortion extremists over the next two years.

⚠️ The Stakes: the Nationwide Influence of the 2025 Elections

The stakes for the 2025 elections were extremely high, and these great results lay the groundwork for next year’s midterm elections—when abortion will once again activate voters.

Next year, we have the opportunity to

  • take back the U.S. House and Senate
  • win more governors’ and state legislative victories
  • enshrine abortion rights directly into law in states like Virginia and Nevada

🛩️ The Big Picture: Let’s Ride the Wave into the 2026 Elections!

Trump, Republican lawmakers, and their anti-abortion allies are hell-bent on taking away our rights—so we’re tracking their every move.

The good news is, next year will be a big opportunity to fight back by voting out bad actors in the 2026 midterm elections.

The fact is, abortion remains one of the most important issues for voters nationwide, even across political party lines—and we know that abortion wins at the ballot box.

Since Roe was overturned, voters in red, blue and purple states have voted to protect abortion via ballot measures and voted to elect lawmakers who champion reproductive freedom. Every vote, ballot measure, and political race matters—and together, we can secure the path to victory!

In the meantime, we are holding Trump and Republicans accountable for:

We’re going to need the power of that community in the months ahead—let’s keep this momentum going!
